Partying pictures goes viral, students suspended

Sullia, Aug 18: Two female of Kukke Shri Subrahmanyeshwara College, Subrahmanya, of Sullia taluk were suspended from the college after their partying pictures went viral over WhatsApp last week.

The WhatsApp pictures of the girls depicted them smoking and drinking and this lead the college authorities to take the decision.

According to sources the students were suspended after pictures of students taking part in a private party were circulated in WhatsApp. The parents were called by the principal to file their statements.

An investigation unveiled that the pictures were three years old, clicked when the girls were studying in PUC. But the college authorities felt that the pictures will tarnish the reputation of the college and suspended the students.

The parents registered their concern over the issue. One of them said that his daughter has stooped going to college and is affected by the incident.

He also added that he was aware of the party and is shocked by the incident.

The students said that the pictures were clicked in Madikeri when they for a party when they were studying in PUC.

But the classmates of the students said that the pictures were clicked at Bisle ghat recently.
