ORR Traffic Alert: Left Turn Towards Marathahalli-Kadubeesanahalli Service Road Closed Till Sept 26

Bengaluru commuters on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Marathahalli should brace for changes this week. The city traffic police have announced trial restrictions from 19 September to 26 September 2025 to ease congestion around Le Arabia Junction and Marathahalli Bridge-a stretch infamous for traffic snarls.

Traffic Restrictions Announced

According to the advisory from HAL Airport Traffic Police Station, vehicles will not be allowed to take the left turn from ORR towards the Marathahalli-Kadubeesanahalli service road near key landmarks like Le Arabia, Biryani Zone, and Croma Junction.

Alternative Routes for Commuters

To minimise inconvenience, traffic police have suggested alternate routes:

Vehicles coming from Mahadevapura on ORR towards Marathahalli-Kadubeesanahalli service road should use the service road near Kalamandir.

Take a U-turn near Marathahalli Bridge underpass.

Turn left near the bridge and continue along the service road to reach Munnekolala, Kadubeesanahalli Junction, Panathur, and Kariyammana Agrahara.

One-Week Trial and Monitoring

The trial restrictions will be in place for one week, during which movement patterns and commuter feedback will be closely monitored.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic East Division) Sahil Bagla, IPS, urged the public to cooperate, stressing that the initiative is aimed at long-term decongestion of one of Bengaluru's busiest traffic corridors.
