Once A Bengaluru Techie, Now A Beggar: This Man Turns To Alcohol After Losing Parents, Girlfriend
Once a promising product engineer at Mindtree in Bengaluru's Global Village Tech Park, this Bengaluru resident is now a homeless man on the streets of the city. The viral video of his story has left many heartbroken. Often referred to as India's Silicon Valley, Bengaluru is home to thousands of tech professionals, but this man's journey highlights the stark contrast between success and hardship in the city.
According to the viral video, the man, who earned his MS degree in Frankfurt, Germany, had a successful career before life took a tragic turn. The exact reasons for his current situation remain unclear, but it is believed that after the loss of both his parents and a long-time girlfriend, he turned to alcohol as a way to cope with the overwhelming grief. This emotional descent led him to leave his career behind and eventually end up begging for a living. His videos have gone viral across various social media platforms, drawing support from numerous netizens. However, reports indicate that he is often intoxicated and unwilling to accept help.

The report further suggests that the man in the video is frequently spotted on JSS College Road in Jayanagar 8th Block. Fluent in English, he expressed, "Actually, religion, caste, all those things... look at what I've become. I need to read more, I need to read more."
His story has resonated with many, prompting offers of assistance in the comments. One user remarked, "This is a stark reminder of life's unpredictability. It's essential to prioritize mental health and provide opportunities for skill development and rehabilitation. No one should have to face such circumstances, especially in a city renowned for its thriving tech ecosystem."
Another user suggested that man must be suffering from Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Another user suggested, "Can we come together to help him get back on his feet? Perhaps we could reach out to Mrs. Sudha Murthy. We need to act-people in Jayanagar, please take the initiative... we will join in. Please!"
A further comment reflected a broader societal concern: "Life is tough, and society has let us down. The economy is stacked against positive growth."
