11.00 pm: BJP announces its fourth candidates' list after 12 hours of deliberation. Party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will contest from Varanasi. Party president Rajnath Singh will contest from Lucknow while senior leader Arun Jaitley will contest from Amritsar in Punjab. Murli Manohar Joshi, who vacated his seat for Modi, will contest from Kanpur.
5.20 pm: AIADMK minister in Tamil Nadu Sampath found distributing cash among voters.
5.00 pm: Sidhu meets Rajnath Singh and Arun Jaitley to discuss Amritsar seat.
3.45 pm: Amritsar MP Navjot Singh Sidhu was adamant on contesting from his seat. Reports said senior leader Arun Jaitley would contest from Amritsar. He also dismissed the possibility of contesting from Rajya Sabha.
3.00 pm: Congress MP from Kerala P C Chacko takes on PM Manmohan Singh, says he is a reluctant speaker.
2.20 pm: MNS releases second list of candidates. The party fields a candidate against the BJP from Bhiwandi in Maharashtra.
2.10 pm: BJP's crucial 4th candidates' list almost final. Sources said Narendra Modi will contest from Varanasi while Murli Manohar Joshi will contest from Kanpur. Party chief Rajnath Singh likely to contest from Lucknow.
