Narendra Modi effect: Yeddyurappa to join hands with BJP on Sept 18

BJP, which had lost its power to Congress in Karnataka, has been trying to strengthen the party asking Yeddyurappa to re-join it. However, the Lingayat leader was not ready to come back to the party which earlier had forced him to resign as Karnataka CM.
Yeddyurappa, who quit BJP in Dec 2012, floated his regional outfit Karnataka Janatha Paksha (KJP). He now said that KJP would join NDA citing decision on Modi.
The party on Friday went ahead with Modi's anointment despite Advani's objection on the timing, leading to celebrations among party workers.
Advani did not turn up at the BJP parliamentary board meeting on Friday and it was Modi who later met him and the ailing Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the former prime minister, to seek their blessings at their residences.
