Bangalore, Jan 16: Nandan Nilekan, co-founder of Infosys and chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) who is likely to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Bangalore on the Congress's ticket, has reportedly given the nod to a four-pronged strategy called Operation Agile to establish his political profile ahead of the polls, an India Today report said on Wednesday.

On January 12, Jayanagar's BJP MLA B N Vijaykumar joined Nilekani for a cycle rally named Pledge2Vote to create poll awareness, added the report.

What Nilekani aims to fulfil through Operation Agile?

1. Nilekani looks to replace the traditional methods of connecting with the electorate through Operation Agile. The system also aims to maximise the use of social/digital media and engage people with new ideas.

2. The campaign will stress issues that concern Bangalore and will try to involve more people in it.

3. Operation Agile also initiates 'Idead for Bangalore' which will connect to the youth through Nilekani's personal website.

The India Today report added that IT employees are trying to reward Nilekani's efforts through a voluntary initiative under which they will mobilise support for the IT man once he is officially announced as the Congress's candidate for the Lok Sabha polls.
