Namma Metro Yellow Line Public Opening: Passenger’s 32-Minute Traffic-Free Ride From RV Road to Bommasandra

Bengaluru's Namma Metro has become a lifeline for daily commuters, helping people reach offices and colleges on time while avoiding traffic congestion. Now, with the launch of the Yellow Line, travel between Bengaluru's central areas and its IT hub has become even more convenient.

On August 10, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Namma Metro Yellow Line. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has officially opened the route to the public from today.

A user who commuted shared, "I had been eagerly waiting for this day, and today I finally took my first ride on the #YellowLine - an absolute delight! 🚇 I covered 19.143 km in just 32 minutes, gliding effortlessly above the chaos of traffic at Jayanagar, BTM, Silk Board, and Bommanahalli without even noticing the jams below. Starting from RV Road at 6:30 am and reaching Bommasandra by 7:02 am, I noted the arrival times at each station to give a clear picture of the journey. Namma Metro Yellow Line Timings

From today, the Yellow Line metro will operate from 6:30 AM daily (7:00 AM on Sundays) with the last train departing at 11:15 PM. The one-way travel time is approximately 35 minutes.
