Days after a 24-year-old woman from Bihar was brutally killed inside her PG accommodation in Bengaluru, police have accessed crucial CCTV footage from the day of the crime.
The footage shows the accused entering the PG, knocking on the victim's door, and then slitting her throat as she screamed for help. The crime occurred between 11:10 pm and 11:30 pm. The video also captures the suspect fleeing the scene.

WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED?
Kruthi Kumari, a 24-year-old woman from Bihar, was brutally murdered late Tuesday night at her PG in Bengaluru. Kumari, who worked at a private company, had recently moved into the VR Layout PG in Koramangala.
The Koramangala Police initiated a thorough investigation upon arriving at the scene. Additional Commissioner of Police Raman Gupta confirmed that a case has been registered, stating that the perpetrator was known to the victim. Efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect, who is currently on the run.
POLICE PROBE ROOMMATE'S ROLE
According to police sources, the assailant entered the PG after the caretakers, who also reside there, had gone for dinner.
The police suspect links between the deceased's former female roommate and the assailant, who had recently moved out of the PG. It is believed that the deceased knew the assailant through her former roommate.
Preliminary inquiries suggest a possible romantic angle to the crime. There are suspicions that a young man, who was romantically involved with Kruthi Kumari, killed her.
Notably, the former roommate was a school classmate of the assailant, and both the deceased and her former roommate worked at the same company.
Police sources reported that the accused's phone is switched off, and his last known location was in Bengaluru. Teams have been dispatched to apprehend the suspect as soon as possible.
The police are yet to record the statement of Kruthi's former roommate.
