More to Pay? Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway Toll Fee Rise Again: New Rates Effective April 1st
In the second revision since the opening of the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway in February 2023, the toll for four-wheelers has been increased by Rs 10 in the annual revision conducted by NHAI, according to reports by Suchith Kidiyoor. Motorists using the access-controlled highway and Satellite Town Ring Road will have to pay the revised fee starting from April 1.
Car owners using the entire stretch of the Bengaluru-Mysuru access-controlled highway must now pay an additional Rs 10 for each single journey and return journey. Currently, car users are paying Rs 320 for a single journey on the entire stretch and Rs 485 for a return journey within a day.

NHAI has issued a notification for the revision of toll fees for the Bengaluru-Nidaghatta stretch.
A public notice issued by NHAI states that Rs 170 will be collected from car/jeep/van owners for a single journey and Rs 255 for a return journey. The fee for a monthly pass for 50 single journeys in a month is priced at Rs 5,715. For LCV/LGV/Minibus, Rs 275 is charged for a single journey and Rs 415 for the return journey.
For trucks and buses, Rs 580 for a single journey (an increase of Rs 15) and Rs 870 for a return journey (an increase of Rs 20). As per the notification issued for the collection of toll at Gananguru village, car users have to pay Rs 160 for a single journey and Rs 240 for a return journey. The monthly pass is priced at Rs 5,315 for cars. LCV/LGV/Minibus have to pay a fee of Rs 260 for a single journey and Rs 385 for a return journey; Rs 540 (single journey) and Rs 810 (return journey) are charged for trucks and buses (2 axle).
After the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway was partially opened, NHAI started collecting toll fees for the Bengaluru-Nidaghatta stretch in February 2023. Initially, Rs 135 was collected from car users for single journeys and Rs 205 for return journeys.
In June 2023, NHAI began charging toll fees for the entire stretch from Bengaluru to Mysuru and also revised the fee collected for using the Bengaluru-Nidaghatta stretch. The fee for single journeys increased from Rs 135 to Rs 165 and Rs 205 to Rs 250 for using the Bengaluru-Nidaghatta stretch.
The section of Satellite Town Ring Road from Doddaballapur to Hoskote will see a revision in toll fees within five months of its opening. After opening the line in November 2023, NHAI started collecting tolls for using the four-lane 39km stretch. According to the new fee, toll for cars has been increased from Rs 70 to Rs 80 for a single journey and Rs 105 to Rs 120 for a return journey within a day. The monthly pass rate was revised from Rs 2,375 to Rs 2,720.
According to TOI reports, the toll collection for the recently opened stretch of STRR from Dabaspet to Doddaballapur is likely to start after the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in the state.
An NHAI official stated, "Revision of toll fees pertaining to National Highways is routine when a new financial year starts. There are 50 toll plazas in Karnataka, and most collect fees as per the revised chart from April 1. Some collect revised fees in September as per the agreement with the contractors."
