Minor Boy Assaults Toddler At Bengaluru Montessori School, Video Goes Viral

In a disturbing clip that has emerged on social media, a two-and-a-half-year-old girl was seen being repeatedly physically assaulted by a minor boy at a Montessori school in Chikkalasandra, Subramanyapura, South Bengaluru.

The video footage also indicates that other youngsters were in the playhouse when the event occurred.

The CCTV footage, from June 21, shows a boy telling a woman caretaker that he needs to use the washroom. As the caretaker leaves the place, a boy pushed a girl to the floor and hit her on the back. When she tried to get up, he slapped her. Even as the helpless girl screamed for help, the boy continued hitting, kicking, and biting her.

The young children were allegedly left unattended for nearly 10 minutes.

"We received a disturbing video of a preschool where toddlers are left unattended in a closed room. A senior kid is seen hitting repeatedly a junior school. The school's name is Tenderfoot, Chikkalasandra, Bengaluru- 560061. Please don't send your kid there!," tweeted Citizens Movement, East Bengaluru.

According to the rules, young children should always be attended to and be under the supervision of teachers or the ayah (helper).

"The Block Education Officer (BEO) has been directed to conduct a thorough inquiry and submit a report. He will probe why the incident occurred and why the children were left unattended," Baylanjanappa P, DDPI (South), told News9.

"In case we find out that there has been negligence and lapse by the school, we would withdraw their license to operate and take necessary action," he added.
