The Karnataka government has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges across the state tomorrow as a mark of respect following the passing of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. The announcement was made shortly after the news of his demise shook the nation.

In addition to the holiday, a seven-day mourning period has been declared in Karnataka to honor the contributions and legacy of the renowned economist and statesman. During this period, the national flag will fly at half-mast on all government buildings, and no official entertainment programs will take place.
