Mandya shocker: Minor girl raped, murdered; accused arrested
Mandya, May 27: A school dropout was arrested on Tuesday, May 26, for raping and brutally killing a 7-year-old girl in Mandya district of Karnataka.
According to reports, the incident took place on Sunday night, May 24, at Shivara village of Mandya, when the minor girl went to buy grocery items from nearby shop.

When she did not return, her parents started searching for her.
On Monday, May 16 morning, a passerby noticed a dead body of a girl, lying behind the bush and he alerted the Keregodu police.
A police officer said that the girl was sexually assaulted as there were blood stains all over her body.
Police launched the investigation into the case and detained a 15-year-old school dropout.
Police officers said that his moves were suspicious and soon after the detention, he confessed to the crime.
The accused told investigating police officials that he killed the girl as he was scared that she would narrate the incident to her family members.
So, he bludgeoned her to death by crushing her with boulders.
