Mandya Bandh: Limited Participation, Yet Business And Transport Continue Without Disruption
Mandya Bandh: Various Dalit and Backward Classes organizations in Mandya have called for a bandh on Tuesday i.e January 7 to protest against Union Minister Amit Shah's alleged remarks on B.R. Ambedkar.
The bandh, scheduled from 7 am to 6 pm, urged the resignation of Amit Shah as a symbolic demand. Despite the call for the shutdown, normal activities, including business operations and public transportation, remained largely unaffected in Mandya.

Security measures were heightened across the city to ensure peace and order. Authorities deployed additional police forces, including CR vans and patrol teams, to prevent any untoward incidents. Businesses, street vendors, and transport services continued as usual, reflecting limited public participation in the bandh.
