Kumaraswamy directs officers to bring abandoned woman back from Shimla
Bengaluru, July 24: In a humanitarian gesture, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has directed deputy commissioner, Mysuru, to take necessary steps to bring back the woman from Mysuru district, who was found in Himachal Hospital of Mental Health and Rehabilitation (HHMHR), Shimla.
The woman was undergoing treatment in Shimla for the last two years. Unfortunately, after being abandoned by her husband, she was mentally ill and reached Shimla CM Kumaraswamy came to know about the issue after a media person in Delhi had met him during his visit to the city and requested to help the lady to return home.
CM's office tweeted, "HD Kumaraswamy has directed the DC, Mysuru, to bring back a woman from Mysuru district, who was found in a Mental Health & Rehabilitation hospital in Shimla. The mentally ill, destitute woman had unknowingly reached Himachal Pradesh and was undergoing treatment there since 2yrs."

According to the Times of India report, Mysuru DC has taken necessary steps to bring her back. He is in touch with hospital authorities of HHMHR and arranged for her treatment on her return and shelter for her, said a press release from chief minister's Office.
