Bangalore, Sept 30: Ace Creative Learning will be conducting "Deeksha Grand iCube - 2013, Karnataka's Largest Young Inventors & Imaginators Competition ", on October 5 at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium in Bangalore.
Last year in August, Over 300 schools across Karnataka participated in the first round of iCube. Of these, 26 schools were shortlisted (20 from Bangalore) to take part in the Grand finale, one of the events in Deeksha Grand iCube. In this event, the best minds of these 26 schools will be designing a model based on a topic given on the spot in 3 hours.
iCube (Imagine, Innovate, Integrate) is a sci-tech fest conducted by the students at Deeksha every year. Since 2004, the aim of the fest has been to promote creatively, spontaneity and the ability to make quick and intelligent decisions by providing the students an opportunity to practically apply their theoretical knowledge.
Other events include quiz competition, science exhibits, robotics workshop and competition.
School students will be exposed to the largest quiz contest in the state. Prelims and finals will be held on the same day.
Registration for events is open to all schools.
Students can also take part in the science exhibition competition; registrations are open only to the first 40 schools.
Students can construct working models based on the topics shared with the school. The robotics competition is ideal for beginners in robotics.
Students can attend the robotics workshop and take part in the competition.
Winners of the robotic competition will be awarded with a direct entry to the National Robofest being held in Bangalore in January 2014.
