Karnataka Weather Update: IMD Predicts Cyclone-Induced Rain In Bengaluru, Kolar And Nearby Districts
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for several districts of Karnataka today due to the impact of a cyclone situated over the east coast of Sri Lanka and the southwest Bay of Bengal.
Moderate rainfall is expected in districts like Kolar, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Chikkaballapur, Chamarajanagar, and Ramanagara, with intermittent showers anticipated throughout the day.

However, dry weather will dominate in most other areas of the state, particularly in Coastal Karnataka, North Karnataka, and South Interior Karnataka. Foggy conditions are predicted to persist in Vijayapura, Bidar, Kalaburgi, Bagalkot, Dharwad, and Belgaum. Isolated fog patches are also expected in parts of Mysore, Shivamogga, Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru, Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, and Bellary districts.
Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions, especially during travel, due to the reduced visibility caused by fog in specific locations.
Bengaluru Weather
Sunday's surprise of 29.8°C in Bengaluru is followed by a return to cloudy weather, as expected. While the clouds are not dense enough to bring significant rainfall to Bengaluru and other parts of South Interior Karnataka (SIK), the daytime temperature is something to keep an eye on.
