Karnataka Weather: Rain Alert Issued For Coastal Karnataka Today

Light rain is expected in some parts of Karnataka on December 24, including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada. The India Meteorological Department predicts dry conditions elsewhere. Dense fog might occur in a few interior locations. On December 25, similar weather patterns are anticipated with light rain in select areas and dry conditions across the state.

Weather Forecast for December 26-27

On December 26, southern interior districts may experience light to moderate rain. This includes Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada. Other northern interior regions might see light rain. Fog or dense fog could appear at isolated spots within the interior regions.

By December 27, rainfall is likely to continue in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada. Additionally, Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru may also receive some rain. Belgaum and Dharwad are expected to have scattered showers as well.

Foggy Conditions Expected

Fog or dense fog is anticipated at a few places in the interior from December 28 to 29. The minimum temperature in North Interior Karnataka will be slightly below normal by 2-4 °C over the next three days but will stabilize afterward.

No significant temperature changes are expected for Coastal and South Interior Karnataka during this period. The weather forecast for Bengaluru until the morning of December 25 indicates partly cloudy skies with potential dense fog in certain areas during the morning hours.

Bengaluru's Temperature Outlook

The maximum temperature in Bengaluru is predicted to reach 28 °C while the minimum could drop to around 19 °C. These conditions are expected to persist over the next day.
