Karnataka Weather: Chilly Start For Bengaluru As Rain Clouds Gather Over The City
As temperatures drop, Bengaluru is witnessing a blend of chilly weather, rain showers, and bursts of sunshine. Thursday morning dawned with cloudy skies, and light drizzles were reported across various parts of the city, including Corporation, Richmond Town, Vidhana Soudha, and Town Hall, causing some inconvenience to office-goers during their morning commute.
According to the Meteorological Department, a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal is expected to bring heavy rainfall to Karnataka's coastal regions. HAL Airport recorded a maximum temperature of 24.8°C and a minimum of 19.6°C, while Bengaluru city saw a high of 28.8°C and a low of 20.6°C. Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL) recorded temperatures of 25.0°C (max) and 20.4°C (min), while GKVK reported 25.2°C (max) and 18.0°C (min).

The weather forecast also includes rain for other districts such as Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Mandya, Mysuru, Shivamogga, and Tumakuru, where a yellow alert has been issued.
Moderate rainfall is expected across Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Belagavi, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura, Yadgir, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Kodagu, Kolar, Ramanagara, and Vijayanagara.
Last month, Bengaluru recorded 60 mm of rainfall, and with persistent forecasts of rain this week, experts suggest the city could see record-breaking precipitation by month's end. The impact of a cyclone is expected to further intensify rain across Karnataka's coastal regions, confirming that showers will continue in the days ahead.
