Karnataka Weather Alert: Rain Along With Gusty Winds Expected In Bengaluru And Nearby Areas; IMD Issues Orange
Karnataka Weather Alert: Looking at the pre-monsoon activities across Karnataka, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted rain and strong winds in Bengaluru and nearby areas. This change in the Karnataka weather may bring some relief to residents from scorching heat as the temperature goes down.
People who were grappled with dust and deteriorating air quality will also be happy with change in Karnataka weather.

IMD has issued a warning for strong winds, expected to reach speeds of 50 to 60 kmph, across various parts of Karnataka, including Haveri, Bagalkote, Vijayapura, Dharwad, Gadag, and Raichur. The alert also mentions that neighbouring regions like Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Hassan, and Mysuru may also prepare for similar conditions, with wind speeds possibly reaching the 40 to 50 kmph range.
Communities Advised to Stay Cautious
Residents in the more urban districts of Tumakuru, Kolar, Urban and Rural Bengaluru, Chitradurga, Shivamogga, and Chikkaballapura are advised to remain vigilant as the wind speeds are expected to range between 30 to 40kmph. The IMD's forecast extends to coastal regions as well, with Udupi and nearby Kannada-speaking areas anticipating winds up to 50kmph. These conditions are not only indicative of the imminent pre-monsoon showers but also signal a potential hazard that could result from such high wind speeds.
