Karnataka Weather Alert: Orange Alert Issued In These Districts, Check Forecast

Bengaluru likely to be cloudy on Tuesday, with the possibility of light rains later in the day. This adds to the already wet conditions in the India's Silicon City, following the recent heavy rains and thunderstorms on Sunday which recorded 203 mm of rainfall. The weather agency predicts widespread moderate rainfall to continue until Thursday.

Given the expected inclement weather, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a orange alert for Bengaluru, the garden city, on June 24, 25, 26, warning of heavy rains, thunderstorms, and lightning.

During the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain is possible over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, coastal Karnataka, Konkan and Goa, and parts of Gujarat.

A yellow alert is also in place for Bidar, Kalaburagi, Belagavi, Dharwad, Haveri, Mysuru, and Chamarajanagar until Tuesday due to forecasts of isolated heavy rainfall.

Next week, Karnataka can expect scattered to moderate rain and scattered heavy in Krishna basin till June 26. . Fishermen are advised to avoid the sea along the Karnataka coast until Wednesday due to squally weather, with wind speeds ranging from 35-45 kmph and gusts up to 55 kmph.

The IMD advises residents and travelers to prepare for extreme weather conditions and take necessary precautions.
