Karnataka Weather Alert: Light Rains Across State From April 7: Will Bengaluru Get Relief?
The India Meteorological Department(IMD) has predicted light rainfall in several districts from April 6-8.
As per a press release, Dakshina Kannada, Bidar, Kalaburgi, Kodagu, Mandya and Mysuru districts are expected to get light rainfall on April 6.

On April 7, light rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places over Dakshina Kannada, Bidar, Kalaburgi, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Mandya and Mysuru districts.
However on April 8, apart from the above-mentioned places, Udupi, Uttar Kannada, Belagavi, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Raichur, Vijayapura, Chamarajanagar, Chitradurga, Hassan, Kodagu, and Shivamogga districts are expected to get rains.
"Light rainfall likely to occur at isolated places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttar Kannada, Bagalkote, Belagavi, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburgi, Raichur, Vijayapura, Chamarajanagar, Chitradurga, Hassan, Kodagu, Mandya, Mysuru and Shivamogga districts," the weather monitoring agency said in the statement.
However, the dry weather is likely to prevail over the remaining districts of the state.
As far as the Bengaluru city is concerned, there is no relief for the Bengalurians as the IMD has not predicted rains in the next 48 hours.
"Next 48 hours: Partly cloudy sky in the morning becoming mainly clear sky by afternoon/evening. Maximum & Minimum temperatures very likely to be around 36°C and 24°C respectively," the statement added.
Bengaluru recorded its hottest day in the last three years on Tuesday as it registered a peak temperature of 37.2 degrees celsius. At Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), the mercury climbed slightly higher to 37.3 degrees Celsius, while HAL airport and GKVK recorded temperatures of 35.5 degrees Celsius and 36 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Meanwhile, Kalaburagi recorded the highest temperature at 41.6 degrees Celsius, with a maximum of 33.9 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25.2 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Bidar recorded a maximum temperature of 36.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25.5 degrees Celsius. Bagalkote had a maximum temperature of 38.0 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 23.8 degrees Celsius. The lowest maximum temperature recorded was 23.5 degrees Celsius.
