Bengaluru city is set to experience thunderstorms starting from the evening of May 30th, with significant rainfall expected between May 31st and June 4th, according to the latest weather forecasts. The surrounding districts, including Kolar, Chikkaballapura, Tumakuru, Ramanagara, and parts of Chamarajanagara, are also predicted to witness substantial thunderstorm activity during this period.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a welcome respite from the heatwave for Karnataka, with widespread rainfall expected across the state in the coming days.

Rainfall Spreads Across Karnataka:
The monsoon's arrival will not be limited to Bengaluru. Rainfall activity is expected to build up over South Coastal Karnataka today itself, with intensity gradually increasing over the next 48 hours. This uptick in rainfall will also encompass Kodagu district.
Heavy Rains Predicted for South Karnataka:
The good news continues for South Karnataka and the Ghat areas, which are forecast to receive very good rainfall throughout the first week of June. However, North Karnataka residents might have to wait a bit longer, with only light to moderate rains expected after June 2nd.
Rains Likely in North Karnataka and Interior Karnataka:
Even the regions of North Karnataka and Interior Karnataka (SIK and NIK) are not left out, with rainfall activity likely to prevail after May 30th.
