Karnataka Weather Alert: Bengaluru's Long Wait For Rain To End? Check Weather Forecast
Following moderate rain in some areas of Karnataka on Ugadi, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted widespread rainfall in most districts from today until April 17. However, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, and Udupi districts are expected to have three days of dry weather followed by two days of rain starting from April 15.
Rainfall is also expected in Belgaum, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura, Yadagiri, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore City, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu, Mandya, Mysuru, Shimoga, Tumkur, and Ramanagara districts, as per the Meteorological Department.

According to the latest reports, a thunderstorm activity has been spotted in the Chikkamagaluru district near Horanadu-Kalasa. On the other hand, storm activity was also reported moving towards Bidar from the Maharashtra border.
Bengaluru rains forecast:
The scorching sun has been relentless on Bengalureans in recent months, with the city's renowned pleasant weather conspicuously absent. However, European Centre for Medium-Range Weather has predicted some rains tomorrow around Bengaluru and Interior South. Fortunately, if weather models are anything to go by, we might not have to wait much longer! While the ECMWF model is not the most accurate, even a 50% realisation of these estimates would be welcomed by residents.
Weather Update: Moderate Rains Forecast for Southern Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka Ghat
Meanwhile, the influence of easterly winds is set to bring isolated moderate rains to southern Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and the Ghats in Karnataka. According to meteorological experts, a circulation near Sri Lankan waters is expected to further push westward and become a low-pressure area in the Arabian Sea.
The weather system is likely to bring relief to parts of southern India, which have been experiencing dry conditions. However, the rains are expected to be isolated and not widespread.
