Karnataka Weather alert: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain across several districts of Karnataka until April 13. The weather department expects scattered showers in regions including Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Belagavi, Bagalkot, Dharwad, Gadag, Koppal, Vijayapura, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru City, Chamarajanagar, Chikkamagaluru, Davangere, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Ramanagara, Shivamogga, Tumakuru, and Vijayanagar.

Rainfall has already been reported in multiple parts of the state. Some of the areas that received showers include Krishnarajpet, Agumbe, Puttur, Belthangady, Kammarady, Kalasa, Napoklu, Karkala, Yellapur, Maski, Lingasugur, Kakkeri, Muddebihal, Nagamangala, Ajjampura, Honnali, Siddapur, Banavasi, Uppinangady, Babaleswar, Kudalasangama, Hunchadakatte, HD Kote, and TG Halli.
Weather Update for Bengaluru
Bengaluru woke up to sunny morning. The sight of clouds in the morning raised hopes among residents, who eagerly anticipated the much-needed rainfall.
Meanwhile, IMD has predicted Garden city is likely to remain partly cloudy and this pattern is expected to persist through at least Friday (April 12), with temperatures hovering between 21°C and 31°C. No significant rainfall is predicted during this time.
In the last 24 hours, Bengaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 33.3°C-just a notch below normal. However, the minimum temperature stood at 23.4°C, about 1.4°C above average. Morning humidity was recorded at 73%, dropping to 40% by evening, adding to the city's sultry conditions.
Rainfall during the same period was minimal, at just 0.1 mm. However, the forecast indicates likelihood of showers today and tomorrow. Residents may want to carry an umbrella, just in case the skies decide to open up.

According to weather experts, Isolated thunderstorms are likely today over parts of South Tamil Nadu and Kerala, offering brief respite in select areas. A circulation over the Bay of Bengal is expected to develop into a low-pressure area (LPA) by tomorrow, with models indicating it may recurve and move towards Myanmar in the coming days. Meanwhile, maximum daytime temperatures are set to rise across the southern peninsula, including Chennai and most parts of Tamil Nadu, marking the return of intense summer heat.
