Karnataka Teen Smothers Aunt To Death For Declining His Sexual Advances
A Class 10 student has been detained in Karnataka for allegedly murdering his aunt after she rejected his sexual advances, police reported on Wednesday.
The incident took place in a village near Uppinangady town in Dakshina Kannada district. A 37-year-old woman was found dead at her home under suspicious circumstances on Sunday night.

According to the police, the minor boy was at his aunt's house on Sunday. He allegedly made sexual advances towards her while she was asleep. When she resisted, reprimanded him, and told him to behave, he feared she would report his actions. Later, when she went back to sleep, he used a pillow to smother her to death.
After committing the crime, the boy told his father that the woman had died from a heart attack. However, the police became suspicious, especially after the boy's father mentioned scratches on his son's back. When questioned, the boy confessed, explaining that he received the scratches as his aunt tried to fend him off.
