Karnataka SSLC Topper 2026 Changed After Revaluation; Anagha Scores Perfect 625/625

Anagha K.S. from Vagdevii School in Thirthahalli has become the Karnataka SSLC 2026 state topper after revaluation. Anagha now has a perfect 625 out of 625, moving up from second rank. The revised marks list, released on 16 May 2026, confirmed the change in her position.

Earlier, when the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board first announced the SSLC Results 2026, Anagha had scored 624 out of 625. That score placed Anagha in second position across the state. A single mark gained through revaluation has now lifted Anagha to the top of the merit list.

SSLC Results 2026: How revaluation turned 624 into 625

Anagha had secured full marks, 100 out of 100, in every subject except Social Science. In that paper, the score was 99, which left Anagha dissatisfied because Anagha expected full marks there as well. Confident about the answers, Anagha applied for revaluation in Social Science soon after the initial result.

When the revaluation outcome was announced on 16 May 2026, one extra mark was added in Social Science. With the revised 100 in that subject, Anagha’s total rose from 624 to 625. This single-mark change converted a state second rank into first rank in the SSLC Results 2026 list.

SSLC Results 2026: Exam schedule and official announcement details

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board had conducted the 2026 SSLC examinations from 18 March to 2 April 2026. State Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa released the initial SSLC Results 2026 on 23 April 2026 during a press conference. Students across Karnataka checked their marks after that official declaration.

Anagha, the child of teacher couple Shivakumar and Mangala, studies at Vagdevii School in Tirthahalli. The family has a background in education, which helped Anagha plan systematic preparation. Their guidance supported Anagha in scoring 100 marks each in the remaining subjects besides Social Science in the SSLC Results 2026.

SSLC Results 2026: Student’s reaction to revaluation and new rank

Sharing the first reaction, Anagha said, "When I got 99 marks in Social Science, I felt a little disappointed. Later, I applied for revaluation with the hope that I might get one more mark. Finally, my dream of becoming the state topper has come true." Anagha described the upgraded score as a long-awaited moment.

Anagha also expressed gratitude to those who supported the journey through the SSLC Results 2026 process. Anagha thanked parents and teachers for constant encouragement during preparation and after the first announcement. Their support helped Anagha stay confident while waiting for the revaluation outcome and possible change in rank.

Despite the perfect score, Anagha mentioned one regret about the timing of the revised marks in the SSLC Results 2026. "If this mark had come when the results were officially announced last month, my teachers and I would have been even happier," Anagha said. The case highlights how revaluation can alter both scores and rankings in Karnataka board exams.
