Karnataka Question Paper case- CID traces source of leak
Bengaluru, May 12: The Criminal Investigation Department of Karnataka has finally managed to track the trail relating to the question paper leak case.
It may be recalled that a II PU question paper had leaked twice in a span of ten days forcing the examination to be postponed twice.

Investigations have shown that the source of the paper was from the treasury in Haveri. The paper was handed over to the accused person by a second division assistant in the sub-treasury at Hangal in Haveri, investigations have found.
These details cropped up following the arrest of Kiran who incidentally is the nephew of the alleged mastermind Shivakumar.
Kiran during the questioning said that he got in touch with the second division assistant with whom he had struck a deal. According to Director General of Police, CID, Kishore Chandra, Kiran was given the keys of the treasury.
He entered the treasury accessed the question paper. He then shot photographs of the paper with his mobile phone.
Kiran then sent out photographs of the question paper through a Whatsapp group that he had created. With these revelations has managed to corner the treasury official who has been identified as Agasimani.
