Bengaluru: Pro-Kannada organisations call for state-wide bandh on April 18
Bengaluru, April 16: Normal life in Karnataka is likely to be disrupted on Saturday, April 18 as pro-Kannada organisations have called for a state-wide bandh.
The bandh has been called to protest against the Mekedatu drinking water project across the Cauvery river.The bandh will be effective from 6 am to 6 pm.

Kannada Okkuta, headed by Vatal Najrag has called for a 12-hour bandh and this has been supported by auto drivers and truck unions as well.

Dr. Rajkumar Fan's Association President S.R Govindu, actor Nenapirali Prem, Karnataka Rakashana Vedike President Praveen Shetty, Lowry association president Shanmughappa, KSRTC workers Union President Anantha Subbarao have extended their support to the bandh.
BWSSB workers may cut water supply on Saturday for six hours.
