Karnataka Marriage Registration: How To Apply Online?
In a move promising smoother and faster marriage registrations, the Karnataka government launched an online portal on Thursday, February 15th. This marks a significant step towards simplifying the process for citizens under both the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, and the Special Marriage Act, 1954.
The initiative kicked off at the Malleshwaram sub-registrar office, where two marriages were successfully registered online on the same day. By the end of February, the service will be available across all sub-registrar offices in the state.

The facility was inaugurated on a pilot basis at the Malleshwaram sub-registrar office by Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda. The government plans to extend this service to all sub-registrar offices across the state by the end of this month.
Under the new system, individuals wishing to provide Aadhaar authentication can complete the process from home. Those opting not to use Aadhaar authentication can register their marriage by visiting the sub-registrar's office.
