Karnataka legislators eye prime property for luxury homes
The Revenue department recently identified government land in Whitefield locality of the city and sources from the government claim that this land is likely to be used for the proposed layout.
Even as the state is reeling under severe drought Karnataka legislators are eyeing prime property in Bengaluru to build an exclusive colony for themselves. The idea is however, still, in the planning stages

"The idea is to build a residential layout for legislators like the one for High Court judges in Nyayagram. It was mooted long ago but is still in the planning stages. We haven't even zeroed in on the land", said Assembly speaker K B Koliwad.
The Revenue department recently identified land in Whitefield locality of the city and sources from the government claim that this land is likely to be used for the proposed layout. The Karnataka government holds upto 100 acres in the locality that belongs to Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board and the locals believe that this land will turn into a luxury colony for the netas.
