Karnataka Doctor's Pre-Wedding Shoot Goes Viral, Costs Him Job
A doctor in Karnataka, who was on the verge of getting married, faced job termination after his unconventional pre-wedding photoshoot idea, staged in an operating theater in Bharamasagara of Chitradurga district, drew disapproval from the district administration. Following the video's circulation on social media, the District Health Officer took action, promptly dismissing the doctor from his position.
In the video footage, Dr. Abhishek and his fiancée are depicted within the confines of an operation theater, with Abhishek simulating a mock operation while his partner assists him, all within the premises of a government hospital. The scene is accompanied by a full light setup, with the simulated patient eventually breaking character and laughing, eliciting similar reactions from others present, including the doctor's partner.

The video's viral spread prompted swift intervention from the district authorities, leading to a prompt inquiry and subsequent termination notice issued by the District Health Officer to Dr. Abhishek.
The doctor, who had been employed on a contractual basis merely a month prior, was recruited under the National Health Mission. Clarifying the situation, District Health Officer Renu Prasad mentioned that the particular operation theater depicted in the video had been out of commission since September of the previous year due to ongoing repairs.
In response, Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao expressed his intolerance for such behavior, asserting that cautionary messages have been disseminated to all doctors and hospital staff to prevent similar incidents in the future.
