Bengaluru, Sept 26: Normal life took a hit in Karnataka on Saturday, Sept 26 due to the Karnataka Bandh called by several pro-Kannada outfits demanding implementation of Kalasa-Banduri canal project, over which the state government has locked horns with Goa.

The 12-hour bandh was in effect from early morning. Many transport unions supported the bandh. BMTC buses were not plying in Bengaluru.

However taxi aggregators such as Ola were functioning as normal. Autorickshaws were also seen plying but they were charging double the normal fare.

Schools, colleges and other educational institutions remained closed even as protests were held in many parts of the city. Here are a few pictures :
