Karnataka Bandh: Are Swiggy-Zomato Available To Order Food In Bengaluru Today?
Buses are plying like normal in Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka on Saturday despitepro-Kannada organisations calling for a state-wide bandh.
The organisations have called for 12-hour shutdown in the state in protest against the alleged assault on a bus conductor in Belagavi for not speaking Marathi. The Pro-Kannada groups claim they are being stopped by the state police.

Normal Life Unaffected
While this bandh was expected to impact the daily life, the early morning reports indicate that it has got lukewarm response from public. Most of the business outlets have remained opened today in most part the state including the state capital Bengaluru.
Moreover, the buses and namma metro services have not been disrupted. So, the daily lives have not been affected to large extent.
Are hotels open today and Swiggy-Zomato work like normal?
Well, the good news is that both the food-delivery apps are working like normal. Since the hotels, bars and restuarants are open and given only moral support, people can continue to order food without any trouble.
Meanwhile, Ravi Shetty Byndoor, Chairman of the Labour Council and a pro-Kannada activist, has slammed the Congress government for trying to suppress their voice using the Police.
"The government is using the Police to suppress us. Vatal Nagaraj has called for a bandh. For that, many people have voluntarily come forward to go on a bandh. We are here to convince the bus drivers and operators. But they are stopping us. The government is sending us notice after notice. What are we, goons? We will start the rally at 11 am. We will take out the rally from Town Hall to Freedom Park," ANI quoted the Chairman of the Labour Council and a pro-Kannada activist as telling reporters.
However, there are protests in Bengaluru, Tumakuru, Mandya and a few other districts, demanding the state government to take necessary action.
