Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2023 OUT: 74% of students clear exam, direct link @karresults.nic.in, toppers, more

The Karnataka Pre-University Examination Board on Friday announced the results of the second PUC or Class 12. Like every year, girls have outshined boys.

This year, the passing percentage stands at 74.67 per cent (524,209 students passed). While 80.25 per cent of the girls cleared the exams, 82.30 per cent of boys are declared 'pass'.

The board on Friday announced that 82.30 per cent of students from the English medium have passed the exams, while 63.68 per cent of students from the Kannada medium cleared it.

Dakshina Kannada (95.33 per cent) has topped the state in the PUC examination followed by Udupi (95.24) and Kodagu (90.55).

Tabasum Shaik from NMKRV PU College in Bengaluru secured 593 out of 600 to secure the top rank in the Arts stream. In Commerce, Ananya KA of Alva's PU College in Moodubidre is announced the topper as she got 600 out of 600.

As far as the Science stream is concerned, SM Koushik from Gangotri Science College in Kolar and Surabhi S of RV PU College in Bengaluru have been declared topper as they scored 596 out of 600.

The exams for the 2nd PUC were conducted between March 9 and 29. A total of 7,26,195 students registered for the exams in different streams at 1,109 centres.
