Kannada Actors Vinay Gowda, Rajath Kishan Admit to Dumping Real Machete in Sumanahalli Drain

Bigg Boss Kannada fame Vinay Gowda and Rajath Kishan were already facing legal trouble, and now it has just worsened further. The duo, who had stirred controversy by making social media reels while brandishing a machete, were arrested by Basaveshwaranagar police in Bengaluru on March 25, 2025. Now, new details about the actual machete used in the video have come to light.

When the police took them into custody, Rajath's wife Akshata submitted a fiber machete. However, police found clear differences between the machete shown in the reel and the one submitted, which raised suspicions and led to their arrest. During interrogation in police custody, both Vinay and Rajath reportedly revealed shocking information about the real machete.

According to their statement to the police, they had thrown the real machete used in the reel into the Sumanahalli stormwater drain. Shockingly, they also claimed that the location where they discarded the machete was the same spot in Chitradurga where Renukaswamy's body had earlier been dumped. Following this revelation, the police took the accused to the Sumanahalli drain and conducted a search. Unfortunately, the machete has not yet been found.

The initially submitted fiber machete has been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for examination. Once the FSL report is received, the police plan to file a chargesheet under the Arms Act and for destruction of evidence. This incident is likely to further tighten the legal noose around Vinay Gowda and Rajath Kishan.

Vinay Gowda and Rajath Kishan, who rose to fame through their appearances on Bigg Boss Kannada-Rajath in Season 10 and Vinay in Season 11-were recently seen on the reality show Boys vs Girls.

During a break in the shoot, the duo filmed a controversial reel wielding a machete-a move that has now dragged them into serious legal trouble. As the investigation unfolds, the court will ultimately decide their fate.
