The recent case involving Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has taken a grim turn, with new details emerging about the events leading to the brutal murder of Renuka Swamy. According to reports, the incident was sparked by an explicit photo sent by Renuka Swamy to Darshan's co-star and close friend, Pavithra Gowda, which infuriated the actor.

The sequence of events unfolded suggests that Darshan's associates subjected Renuka Swamy to brutal assault upon his arrival. According to police investigations, Renuka Swamy, a 33-year-old resident of Chitradurga, who was purportedly abducted, tortured, and killed in a shed in the city, had willingly visited the shed, "excited to meet his matinee idol." Notably, when Renuka Swamy sent the photo, Darshan reacted with anger. According to autopsy report of Renukaswamy was brutally beaten and given electric shocks before he died.

Deepak Kumar, presently accused no. 13, allegedly told the police that Darshan, along with other accused, tortured the victim and that it was the actor who kicked Renuka Swamy in the private parts, which may have caused his death, according to Vistara reports.

Under the impact of Darshan and his gang's assault, Renuka Swamy fell to the ground and plead for mercy by grabbing Darshan's leg. This further enraged Darshan, who then attacked Renuka's face, according to reports. In the scuffle, Renuka's head hit a tempo parked in the warehouse, causing severe head injuries. Report further suggested that Darshan's gang reportedly continued beating him until he lost consciousness.

Following this, they attacked Renuka Swamy with various objects like iron rods and sticks. After multiple blows, Renuka Swamy succumbed to his injuries. Darshan Co-Star Pradosh had the called Kannada cine star and murder accused Darshan to inform him of Renuka Swamy's death. Later, they met at Stony Brook Hotel, owned by Vinay, to decide their next steps.

Later, they attempted to dispose of the body by throwing it into a stormwater drain near Sumanahalli bridge in the wee hours of Sunday, but it landed on the bank instead, according to reports.
