Is Karnataka Planning A Price Hike For Nandini Milk?
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had recently said that government would consider increasing the price of the Nandini brand of milk, marketed by the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), in the coming days.
However, Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) chairman Bheema Naik clarified that there is currently no such proposal to hike the price of Nandini milk.

Addressing a press conference at Vidhana Soudha, Bheema Naik confirmed that there is no information about a milk price hike at this time. He acknowledged, however, that farmers in the state have requested an increase in the price of Nandini milk. He also emphasized that the recent transfer of the KMF Managing Director was purely an administrative decision.
Nandini Expands Its Reach to Delhi
Nandini products were officially launched in Delhi on November 21, and daily sales have already reached 5,000 to 6,000 liters of milk. "Selling Nandini milk in Delhi was our long-standing dream," Bheema Naik said, expressing optimism that sales will increase to 1 lakh liters per day by next month.
Responding to inquiries about other dairy brands, he remarked, "We focus on meeting customer demand and maintaining supply accordingly. There is competition in the market, but we are confident in our ability to handle it effectively."
He also shared plans to visit Delhi on December 9 to oversee the expansion of Nandini's presence in the capital region.
No Merger Between Amul and Nandini
Addressing rumors about a potential merger between Amul and Nandini, Bhima Naik categorically denied such claims. He explained that the speculation likely arose from a statement made by Union Minister Amit Shah during the election period. "This is nothing more than a rumor. A merger is simply not possible," he clarified.
KMF's Nandini brand has also made a mark on the global stage. During the T20 World Cup held in the United States and West Indies, KMF sponsored the Scotland and Ireland cricket teams. The Nandini logo was prominently displayed on the teams' jerseys, further boosting brand visibility.
In addition to sponsorship, KMF supplied frozen sweets and the milky energy drink, Nandini Splash, to the U.S. during the World Cup.
