India's Mars mission: In numbers

Here are some of the numbers related to the mission:
USD 74 million: The expenses behind India's Mars programme. The Indian prime minister said making of Hollywood film Gravity cost more than India's Mars mission. In comparison, NASA's Mavan mission costs USD 671 million.
Rs 7 a kilometre: The journey to Mars cost India this much, less than that of an auto-rickshaw ride in the country.
324 days: The MOM took 324 days to complete the Mars mission (it was launched on November 5, 2013). It took NASA 308 days to enter the Red Orbit's orbit.
400 million miles: The distance travelled by Mangalyaan before it entered Mars's orbit.
51 Mars missions: That many number of Mars missions have been undertaken so far. Only the United States, erstwhile USSR/now Russia and Europe have successfully placed their satellites around the Martian orbit.
