Bangalore, Oct 15: This Dusshera brought with it both happiness and gloom. While many parts of the country observed colourful Dusshera and Dashami festivals, states like Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh witnessed big tragedies, both natural and man-made.
Authorities earned kudos for successfully handling Cyclone Phailin in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh but they could have done far better in Madhya Pradesh where a stampede killed over 100.
