I'm Not In Bengaluru: Prajwal Revanna's First Reaction To Scandal Case, Says Truth Will Prevail Soon
In response to the sex scandal engulfing Karnataka's politics, Suspended JD(S) leader and Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna said on Thursday that CID Bengaluru has been informed of his absence in the city and that the truth would soon come to light. He also sought 7 days' time to appear before SIT.

The ruling Congress has accused Prajwal Revanna of sexually abusing numerous women after multiple explicit videos allegedly involving him emerged in his parliamentary constituency, Hassan.
Revanna, who is the grandson of former prime minister HD Deve Gowda, has dismissed the videos as "doctored".
In a statement on his social media account, Prajwal Revanna clarified that he was not in Bengaluru to participate in the special investigation team's inquiry. However, he indicated that he had engaged his legal counsel to communicate with the CID.

"As I am not in Bangalore to attend the enquiry, I have communicated to C.I.D Bangalore through my Advocate. Truth will prevail soon," he posted on social media.
Notably, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) seized Prajwal's former driver Karthik's phone on Wednesday, for data retrieval in connection to the 'obscene videos'.
Will Prajwal and Revanna be arrested if they do not appear before the SIT within 24 hours?
The SIT probing the sex video case allegedly involving Prajwal Revanna has issued a notice to him and his father HD Revanna, to appear for a hearing within 24 hours in connection with the Hassan Pen Drive Case. According to reports, the SIT has the authority to arrest him if he fails to attend the hearing within the specified deadline, or it may issue two additional notices and wait, depending on the investigator's discretion.
Prajwal is required to attend the hearing on Wednesday, May 1, regarding the sexual assault case filed against him and Revanna. The SIT has issued a notice under CrPC 41A. Furthermore, if he fails to attend the hearing within 24 hours, the SIT will issue another notice, failing which they have the authority to arrest him without further notice.
As Prajwal Revanna is currently abroad, no specific time has been set in the notice.
What happens if a person doesn't response to SIT notice?
If the accused fail to respond even after the SIT has issued three notices, there is a possibility of obtaining a warrant through the court to arrest them. If the accused responds to the second notice and attends the hearing, they will be required to provide a suitable explanation to the investigating officers. Bail is likely to be granted under the section filed in this case. As today (Wednesday) is a holiday, the bail application will be heard on Thursday (May 2). Therefore, it is being speculated that Revanna and Prajwal Revanna may have avoided attending the hearing.
