HSR Layout Traffic Grind To A Halt Due To Metro Crane Breakdown
Traffic on the service road between 5th Main Road and 14th Main Road in HSR Layout, Bengaluru, came to a standstill early Tuesday due to a crane breakdown.
The crane, part of the Namma Metro's Blue Line (Outer Ring Road-Airport) construction by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), blocked one of the two lanes typically used by BMTC buses (500 series) and private vehicles.

Traffic moving from Ragigudda and Silk Board towards Iblur experienced severe delays, particularly between 8:30 am and 10 am. According to police, the crane suffered a technical issue.
"The crane operators were attempting to restart and relocate the crane around 5 am after last night's work when the engine failed. Mechanics have been addressing the issue since early morning," an officer from the HSR Layout traffic police station explained.
Fortunately, the main carriageway of the Outer Ring Road remained unaffected, and traffic flow continued as usual.
