How To Order Food 2 Days Before Delivery On Zomato?

If you're a Zomato user, you can now schedule your food delivery orders up to two days in advance. This new feature is currently available in select major cities.

"Plan your meals better by placing an order up to 2 days in advance, and we'll deliver right on time," said Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal on X.

Note that you can only schedule orders of Rs 1,000 or more. Initially, this feature will be available at 13,000 outlets in cities including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Jaipur. Goyal explained that these restaurants have a history of maintaining high stock levels and consistent kitchen preparation times.

He assured customers that more restaurants and cities will be added soon. "We will soon extend this for all orders," Goyal added.

On August 22, Zomato discontinued its Legends intercity delivery service, which allowed food orders across 10 cities. Goyal mentioned that the service was discontinued after two years of trying to find a suitable market fit, noting that it was launched in 2022.

In recent news, Zomato has reached an agreement with Paytm to acquire the fintech firm's movie and events ticketing business for Rs 2,034 crore in an all-cash deal. Zomato plans to rebrand this business as an app called District.
