Five people sustained injuries in a blast at Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru on Friday, during the bustling lunch hour. Divya Raghavendra Rao, the cafe chain's co-founder and managing director, stated that two explosions occurred within a span of 10 seconds.
Following the incident at this renowned food establishment, curiosity about the cafe surged. Here, we present a compilation of intriguing facts about the cafe, as revealed by Divya in an interview with MyJar.

The Rameshwaram Cafe was founded in 2021 by CA Divya Raghavendra Rao and Raghavendra Rao.
Divya, a postgraduate in Finance and Management from IIM A, also serves as a Managing Committee Member of the Bangalore Branch of the South Indian Regional Council of ICAI.
She met Raghavendra, who operated a humble food cart in Seshadripuram, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in the food industry.

The interesting part of the story is that choose the name as a tribute to the birthplace of the late Mr. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
Explaining the rationale behind the choice, she remarked, "We have dedicated this brand to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam as Rameshwaram was his birthplace. Another logical reason is because we are into pure veg, authentic South Indian food and we want to go across the globe. When an outsider hears the word Rameshwaram, it's easy to connect back to South India."
The usage of baking soda is banned in all outlets. They use pure ghee and avoid artificial additives for consistent high quality.
One might be surprised to know that their outlets don't have refrigerators; instead, fresh batches of batter and chutneys are made multiple times daily for consistent taste.
