Hidden Camera Scandal: Bengaluru Woman Finds Spy Cam In Third Wave Coffee Outlet

A Third Wave Coffee outlet in Bengaluru is facing backlash after an employee was caught filming people in the washroom. The smartphone, hidden inside a dustbin, had its camera aimed at the toilet seat. This incident occurred at the BEL Road Cafe on August 10.

The coffee chain announced on social media that they had fired the employee and taken legal action immediately after discovering the camera. "The person under question has been immediately terminated. We have a stringent zero-tolerance policy and have initiated necessary legal action against him. We will work closely with the concerned authorities for appropriate action," Third Wave Coffee told Hindustan Times.

Discovery of Hidden Camera

Reports indicate that the camera had been recording for approximately two hours before a woman discovered it. An eyewitness shared on Instagram that the phone was set to flight mode to avoid making any noise. It was carefully concealed within a dustbin bag, with a hole cut out to expose only the camera lens.

The woman promptly informed the café staff, who identified the phone as belonging to one of their employees. The incident was reported to the police and is currently under investigation.

Similar Incident in Ghaziabad

This incident follows another case where a spy camera was found in a changing room in Ghaziabad. The roofless room was mainly used by people offering prayers at a nearby temple after bathing in the Muradnagar Ganga canal. A case was filed against a priest who allegedly watched the footage on his mobile phone.

The matter came to light in late May when a woman visiting the temple with her daughter noticed a CCTV camera pointed at the roofless bathroom. She immediately contacted the temple priest for an explanation about the camera. However, he responded with threats and abusive language, warning her not to tell anyone about it.
