Had Gone To My Relative's Home: HD Revanna's Accuser Releases Video Denying Kidnapping

A woman, who had been missing for several days and was allegedly kidnapped by HD Revanna, has released a video statement claiming that she was not kidnapped. The video has since gone viral. A kidnapping case was registered against former minister H D Revanna at the KR Nagar police station over the alleged abduction. However, questions have arisen regarding when and where she managed to record the video.

In the video, she made surprising statements, explaining that she had actually gone to her relative's house and that her son had filed a complaint without being informed. "I was upset about all the rumors circulating in our city, so I decided to spend four days at my relative's house. However, after watching TV, I realized the situation and decided to clarify matters by making this video," she said.

She further clarified, "We have no problems with Bhavani sister, nor do Revanna or Prajwal have anything to do with us. There is no issue on my side. They took care of us. There is no connection with the obscene video."

The woman insisted that she had not been kidnapped by anyone and that she was safe, urging her son not to be affected by others' words. She assured him that she would return within two days. "I am fine. Please do not disrupt our livelihood. Allow us to live peacefully. You are responsible for whatever happened to my husband," she expressed her displeasure against police officers.

Holenarsipur MLA H D Revanna and his associate Satish Babanna were booked under Sections 364A (kidnapping for ransom), 365 (kidnapping with intent to cause harm), and 34 (common intention) of the IPC. The FIR, registered by KR Nagar police, lists Revanna as accused number one and Satish Babanna as accused number two.

It must be noted that HD Revanna, a Janata Dal (Secular) leader and former Karnataka Minister, was granted bail by a special court for elected representatives on Monday. The bail, granted on a surety of Rs 5 lakh, is related to a case of alleged kidnapping in connection with sexual abuse charges against his son, Prajwal Revanna, the MP for Hassan. H D Revanna was arrested on May 4 after his anticipatory bail plea in the kidnapping case was rejected by the special court for elected representatives.
