Hassan Pen Drive Case: Congress Claims BJP Leader Knew About Prajwal Revanna's Scandal

Congress leader Pawan Khera shared a letter reportedly penned by BJP leader Devaraj Gowda to the Karnataka state president of the saffron party, expressing concern about a pendrive containing sleazy videos of JD(S) leader and Lok Sabha MP Prajwal Revanna.

The letter, allegedly written on December 8, 2023, and in Kannada by the Hassan BJP leader, states that 2,976 clips were already in possession of Congress leaders and could be used as ammunition for the grand old party during the Lok Sabha elections 2024. It also suggests that if Revanna is allowed to contest under the NDA banner, it could negatively impact the BJP's image in the state.

Sharing this letter, Khera launched an attack on the BJP, questioning why the party chose to ally with JD(S) despite knowledge of the pendrive. He also raised concerns about the lack of action, Prajwal Revanna's presence on stage with BJP leaders, and who facilitated his departure to Germany.

Khera further questioned PM Narendra Modi's silence on the matter, noting Modi's vocal stance on similar issues elsewhere in the country. Despite this, Khera expressed confidence that Modi would remain silent on the Hassan sex scandal.

Meanwhile, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has ordered a special probe into the incident. The JD(S), on the other hand, has distanced itself from Prajwal, with H D Kumaraswamy stating that while he wanted to wait for the probe's outcome, there was no question of forgiving someone who had committed a crime as per the law.

A sexual harassment and stalking case has been filed against former Karnataka Minister H D Revanna and his son Prajwal in connection with the Hassan scandal. The woman complainant alleged that she worked at Revanna's house from 2019 for three and a half years, during which time both Revanna and Prajwal allegedly misbehaved with her. She also claimed that Prajwal sexually assaulted her and used obscene language with her daughter during video calls, leading her to block his number and resign from her job. H D Revanna is the elder son of JD(S) supremo and former PM H D Deve Gowda, while Prajwal is the party patriarch's grandson.
