Good news for air travellers: KIA eases document verification norms
Bengaluru, Nov 26: In a move that can bring respite to frequent air travellers, especially, those who travel with their families, the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) has simplified the norms of showing identification proof and from now onwards only one member of the family can show his/her ID proof.
According to a report published in TOI, the officials of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) said that the norms for document verification at airports have been simplified.

In the past, there have been several incidents where passengers were not allowed to enter inside the airport, even if they had valid flight tickets but no ID proof.
But, with the hassle-free process of the documentation proof, it should not be taken granted by the passengers.
The discretion to allow passengers inside the airport premises lies solely with the concerned CISF official.
If the CISF official is satisfied with the valid i.d. proof, only then he will grant permission to the passengers and their family members to enter the airport, the report added.
