Goa Court Sends Bengaluru CEO Suchana Seth Accused Of Son's Death To 13 Days' Judicial Custody
A Goa court on Friday remanded 39-year-old Suchana Seth, CEO of an AI startup, to 13 days in judicial custody following her 10-day police remand for the alleged killing of her four-year-old son. The police concluded their initial investigation phase but await lab reports for further leads.

Seth, who had been in police custody since January 8, was brought before the children's court as her police remand concluded. Despite the police not seeking further remand, the court ordered her to 13 days in judicial custody.
Seth's lawyer, addressing the media, stated that there were no current instructions to file a bail application. She is currently held in the Central Jail at Colvale in North Goa, facing charges including murder, destruction of evidence, and a violation of section 8 of the Goa Children's Act.
The allegations against Seth involve the killing of her son at a Candolim resort in north Goa. After the incident, she concealed the body in the trunk of a hired taxi as she attempted to flee from Goa to Bengaluru. However, she was arrested en route on January 8.
While the police claim to have largely completed their investigation, including statements from crucial witnesses, they await the results of viscera tests to determine if the victim was administered cough syrup before being smothered. Additionally, forensic analysis of blood stains found in the hotel room is pending.
In her statement to the police, Seth denies killing her son but admits to attempting suicide by slashing her left wrist.
