Bangalore: Have fun, entertainment and do social work at GeneroCity

Bangalore, Sept 28: The United Way of Bengaluru under the aegis of the Joy of Giving Week will organise a carnival -- GeneroCity. At least 45 NGOs will participate in the carnival which will provide all information regarding the NGOs and their different motives. The event will be an interactive and engaging festival connecting the people of Bengaluru to various NGOs working for different causes.

The United Way of Bengaluru, a local wing of the 126-year-old largest privately funded charity in the world -- United Way Worldwide network, will also organise the event where they also will have fun, food and entertainment. The Joy of Giving Week, launched first in 2009, is observed in the first week of October (2nd - 8th) each year and brings together Indians from all walks of life, to celebrate giving.

Day/Date: Saturday, 5th October 2013
Venue: St. Joseph's Indian High School grounds, Vittal Mallya Road
Time: 10:30am -10:00pm.

Main attractions at the event:

Music band 'Aurko'. Aurko have joined hands with famous singer Shaan to raise funds for Hemophilia patients and played before Legendary Boney M for the cause of Global Warming. The band will perform at 8 pm.

Music band 'Lagori'. The band will perform at 6 pm at GeneroCity.

Music Band - Register your attendance at the event on http://bit.ly/generocity. Pay INR 7500 to register your band. This amount will go towards charity. We will give you a slot to perform on stage on the day.
Painting Competition for children - Register your attendance at the event on http://bit.ly/generocity. Come along to the Painting stall at GeneroCity (next to the United Way of Bengaluru stall). Pay INR 200 as entry fee for the competition on the day. This amount will go towards charity.
Talent Show (open to all ages) - Register your attendance at the event on http://bit.ly/generocity. Come along to the event GeneroCity. Pay INR 100 as registration fee. This amount will go towards charity. We will give you an opportunity to showcase your talent.
Gully Cricket - Register your attendance at the event on http://bit.ly/generocity. Pay INR 5000 to register your team. This amount will go towards charity. Come along and participate on the day.
