Geetha set to give tough competition to Yeddyurappa from Shimoga?

, March 12: Geetha Shivarajkumar, wife of actor Shivarajkumar, will take on the former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa of the BJP candidate in Shimoga.

Shivarajkumar announced on Tuesday that he and his family members will support Geetha to contest for Lok Sabha Election 2014. Geetha will be the first member from Dr. Rajkumar's family to contest in elections.

Shivraj also announced that a conference will be held on March 17 to make a formal announcement on the same.
Geetha is contesting from Shimoga constituency against former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.

Congress has not yet disclosed their candidate list in this area and AAP has positioned Social activist and architect K.G. Sreedhar in this constituency.

S. Bhangarappa had lost the assembly elections against Yeddyurappa in 2008 and Lok Sabha elections against Yeddyurappa's son BY Raghavendra in 2009. Now his daughter Geetha Shivraj will be fighting against Yeddyurappa himself this year.

JDS will disclose list of 12 constituencies on March 17 and finalise the candidature of Geetha.

Brother Madhu Bangarappa has also confirmed her candidature for Shimoga in JDS.
